We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Director of Marketing with experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies. You will be part of a dynamic OPENLANE marketing team responsible for supporting the growth and success of our AFC floorplan financing business unit and will serve on the OPENLANE marketing & communications leadership team. To ensure strategic and tactical alignment with AFC, the role will serve as the primary conduit between OPENLANE's enterprise marketing and communications functions and the AFC Business Development function. You will be directly responsible for leading strategic initiatives, managing a talented team, and driving brand awareness and loyalty for AFC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise in marketing strategy and brand management to advance AFC's purpose and culture.

This role will operate out of our OPENLANE Headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.

You Will: Develop and execute the strategic vision for OPENLANE's AFC business unit, driving awareness, loyalty, and responsible growth while advancing AFC's purpose and culture. Develop & maintain AFC's brand identity ensuring consistent messaging and brand positioning across all marketing assets. Develop and implement marketing strategies that deliver on the key objectives of the business. Deliverables will include market segmentation, customer personas, product positioning, product packaging, and business metrics. Create marketing materials (brochures, flyers, landing pages, social media content, and ads) that highlight AFC's products & services that can be used by inside sales and AFC field teams. Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards by collaborating closely with legal. This will become more important due to Section 1071 compliance.

Who You Will Work With:

Reporting to the EVP, Marketing and Communications for OPENLANE, this role will be a member of the OPENLANE Marcomm Senior Leadership Team and manage a team of individual contributors. The role will require deep coordination and collaboration with the AFC Business Development leadership and broader AFC organization to research, plan, develop, and execute a marketing plan that supports the achievement of AFC's short and longer-term goals.

Must Have's: 8+ years of experience in senior marketing roles, preferably in the automotive or financial industry. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Experience in brand management, digital marketing, and content marketing. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Experience building and revising go-to-market strategies.

Nice to Have's: Credit Experience.

Automotive experience and marketing experience in a credit/risk-based business is preferred.
