Greets and assists visitors to the HR/Payroll Department and those calling the HR Connection phone support line. Handles daily office activities including opening, sorting and prioritizing of mail, monitoring and ordering office supplies, identifying equipment problems and arranges for maintenance/repair. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Associate degree in related field required. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative support experience required. One (1) to three (3) years of Human Resources experience preferred. Human Resource and Payroll system experience preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. COMPETENCIES: Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Office Suite are required. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.## Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred. Job-Specific Competency Represents HR by taking calls via the HR Connection line, maintaining the HR email inbox, monitoring the Web Help Desk ticket system and providing timely resolution to inquiries. Research and answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, payroll functions, learning management systems, etc. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Performs periodic audits of HR files and/or program records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Provides administrative support for HR programs such as but not limited to orientation, benefits administration and enrollment, employee programs, celebrations, and meetings. Completes data entry into HR and Payroll system. Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Assists or prepares employee correspondence, mailings, communications and invoices. Partners with HR leaders to process unemployment claims and coordinate unemployment hearing requests. Manage and maintain appropriate office supplies for department. Schedules and tracks completion of required training and education courses, as applicable. Responsible for scheduling HR related meetings and maintaining updated agendas. Provides project support to ECHN HR team. Performs other related duties as assigned.
