Job Description

Position Title: Franchise Finance Intern

Compensation Range: $16 - 18/hour

Duration: 2-3 Months

Purpose of the Job: Are you ready to get a taste of real-world finance in a dynamic and fun environment? As a Franchise Finance Intern at KFC, you'll support our Franchise Finance team with day-to-day analysis, helping us achieve our strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the Franchise Finance team in preparing detailed reports for KFC's Directors and Leadership Team on YTD progress against strategic goals.
  • Assist with the franchise ownership change process, including new franchisee qualification, franchisee-to-franchisee transfers/re-sales, and refranchising/acquisition initiatives.
  • Help monitor, ensure compliance, and collect all payment obligations required under the KFC Franchise Agreement.
  • Assist with the ongoing collection and review of financial information from franchisees.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and various internal departments to forecast potential risks and the associated financial impact.
  • Aid in the analysis and monitoring of system financial health data to provide real-time insights.
  • Support the Franchise Finance team as needed in ad-hoc projects and various strategic initiatives.
Education:
  • Students currently pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field in Business.
Experience (and Other Qualifications):
  • Must have strong internal motivation, the ability to communicate effectively, and an analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail.
  • Experience with Excel is required, and PowerBI is preferred. Experience in financial modeling and financial statement analysis is a plus.
