The IT Governance and Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and adherence to the organization's IT standards. This role will support the development of IT governance frameworks, support compliance efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists with development and execution of an annual risk-based IT audit plan and executes assigned components
  • Recommends changes to controls, processes, and procedures to ensure data integrity and security and improves operational efficiency and appropriate suggestions to achieve the improvements
  • Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure data integration and consistency and works with other internal areas including Legal, HR, Information Security, Finance, and Operations to address compliance issues which may impact the supported function/business/product.
  • Performs testing of general and automated application controls relevant for SOC2-Type 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST or other certifications selected
  • Delivers well-written reports with strong attention to detail and supported by evidence through maintenance of accurate records.
  • Builds and prepares appropriate documentation (e.g. narratives, flowchart, control matrices, segregation of duties analyses, audit reports, KPIs, OPIs, knowledge bases, end user training, etc.) in support of all assurance and consulting work performed


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required
  • At least 3 years' experience in audit and compliance, specifically in IT, required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance/regulatory risks, processes, and control frameworks, and the ability to design and evaluate the effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes
  • Experience achieving SOC2, ISO 27001, or other industry certifications preferred
  • Experience in writing target specifications for KPIs, OPIs, etc. preferred

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
