Under the general direction of a Business Solutions Manager or Team Lead, the Systems Analyst translates business requirements into technical solutions. Understand general IT concepts and functions that impact the supported applications and their ability to operate within the organization's infrastructure. Participates in the vendor selection process. Provides input into technical assessments of vendor applications and acts as a liaison between vendor solutions, internal technical teams and business line teams. Creates impact analyzes on work orders and mid-sized projects from a technical perspective. Collaborates with IT Technical teams to complete and design technical requirements documents. Understands and documents impacts of planned system/vendor solutions and potential risks/limitations. Mentors and trains other team members as needed. Coordinates work of third party staffing solution team members. Prepares for and presents to enterprise governing bodies (ex. Architecture Review Board, Change Management, Quality Assurance Review, etc.). Coordinate and complete required project documentation in addition to their analyst role on work orders or mid sized projects.

As a Workday Systems Analyst, you will:

  • Engage in the end-to-end implementation of Workday Financials modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  • Engage with team of Workday architects and admins, while managing the enhancement and long-term development of the platform.
  • Engage collaboratively with Finance business partners, lead functional configuration/design analysis with cross-functional teams and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Workday Financials, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for Workday system optimization, process improvement, and automation to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and deliver functional Workday solutions relating to Workday Financials
  • Troubleshoot system issues in a complex financial environment.
  • Cross-train with team members to ensure knowledge transfers.
  • Data Integration - incorporate new business and system data into and out of our finance system while maintaining enterprise best practices and adhering to data governance standards.
  • Reporting - collaborate with colleagues across the enterprise to scope requests. Extract data from various data sources, validate results, create relevant data visualizations, and share with requester. Develop dashboards and automate refreshes as appropriate.
  • Communication and Training - Create and maintain relationships across the organization to serve others by developing, sharing, and updating standard operating procedure, training, and reference materials for end users. Effectively document changes/enhancements of the system and the impact to processes. Clearly communicate to end users about major changes in a timely manner.
  • Product Ownership - collaborate and act as the voice of the finance team to offer concrete feedback and project requests as well as an advocate for analytics from within the business units themselves.
  • Develops ad-hoc self-service reports, analytics, and dashboards.


Education

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Information Technology or Financial Services. Preferred


Experience

  • Less than 2 years Information Technology. Required
  • More than 2 years Information Technology with financial systems. Preferred
  • Less than 2 years Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle Methodology. Preferred
