Reporting Analyst job description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst, on a temporary basis, who will be responsible for writing and cleaning up various financial reports for the organization. In this role, you will be expected to design and generate reports, as well as identify and troubleshoot issues with current reports and resolve them. If you have a strong analytical mindset and are passionate about data and the financial world, we encourage you to apply.

Reporting Analyst duties and responsibilities

  • Write & generate reports within Great Plains software for various aspect of the accounting and fiancé department
  • Clean up various reports within Great Plains utilizing SmartList and SQL Server
  • Collaborate with various individuals within the organization to ensure reports are accurate and completed correctly
  • Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues with current reports
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders

Reporting Analyst requirements and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
  • Knowledgeable with finance and accounting practices and reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, etc
  • Ample experience with Great Plains software and report writing
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
