Job Description
A food manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager. This company is going through an ERP Implementation from Navision to Dynamics 364 and the Accounting Manager is being taken away from their day to day to lead this. Looking for a solid mid-sized to large company accounting manager to lead a team of 5 through month / year-end close and external audits. The ideal candidate has experience leading month/year-end close and external audit, a background managing a team, and ideally has ERP implementation experience and/or Dynamics of NAV experience (highly preferred, but not required).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts ensuring that all grant receipts are recorded in Intacct software in a timely basis.
  • Review and monitor balance sheet accounts, including analysis of Trial Balance/General Ledger and perform adjustments on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable balances and module.
  • Monitor and ensure grant deliverables are met within the deadlines set by donors and ensure timely submission of proposals and funder reports and establish and update grants management processes and controls as needed to ensure compliance with budgetary best practices and donor restrictions.
  • Receive, review and manage grant agreements for terms and conditions, donor-imposed restrictions, and deliverable/reporting dates.
  • Review internal and external reports, including Director's Reports and claims to government agencies and private funders.
  • Prepare and record monthly allocation entries and prepaid entries.
  • Prepare budget and forecast expenses for assigned programs.
  • Manage general insurance portfolio; main point of contact with Brokers and provide certificates when requested
  • Track and maintain fixed assets schedules.
  • Ensure that the Accounting and Financial policies & procedures are being followed.
  • Reconcile investment accounts and make appropriate entries as needed.
  • Work with Controller to assist in preparing requested financial reports.
  • Assist with preparation of audits
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of two years of work Accounting required
  • Minimum of intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Good arithmetic skills
  • Detail oriented, good communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
  • Prior experience with Dynamics or NAV software preferred
