The Account & Billing Analyst is responsible for analyzing charges, establishing and processing client accounts, timely claims processing according to specific contract guidelines and payor requirements, following up with insurances on billed accounts, including contacting companies, provider offices and/or patients for additional information for billing, processing payer rejects, and updating the accounts status in Meditech. Must always display an attitude that would create a good relationship with patients and their families, other employees, and the general public.
Requirements
Previous experience with electronic billing, knowledge of what constitutes a clean claim and medical terminology required.
Must have strong working knowledge of third party health insurance billing regulations as well as Local Medical Review Policies and Correct Coding Initiative edits. Computer skills requirements include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes, previous experience with insurance specific websites, Quadax & Meditech desired. Must have the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
