The Sr Credit Services Loan Administrator provides quality and timely assistance to the Lenders and loan closing team with the servicing of their large and/or complex commercial loan portfolio in accordance with bank guidelines. Provides administrative support requiring knowledge of lending operations and procedures. Responsible for servicing clients promptly and professionally in addition to the processing and handling of any functions related to loan activities. Works under minimal supervision and reports to the Credit Services Loan Supervisor.Responsible for ensuring loan documentation packages are complete and ready for closing.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Function as a liaison between title companies and closing attorneys to facilitate loan closings.
  • Prepare and review commercial loan packages for:
    • Completeness, accuracy, and legality of the documentation
    • Compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Adherence to bank policy/procedures
    • Adherence to all terms, conditions, and requirements of the loan approval
    • Ensure adequate approval authority is obtained
  • Collaborate with Loan Processors, Lenders, and other departments to ensure all documentation and due diligence is completed accurately prior to loan closing.
  • Provide guidance to Loan Processors, Lenders and other departments on the following:
    • Perfection of collateral and documentation and functionality of systems
    • Handling complex transactions
    • Funding instructions, wiring instructions on how to process wires, payoffs/refinances, and purchases
  • Collaborate with managers on improvement of processes and ensuring that all parties understand or agree prior to implementation.
  • Research and identifies ideas/paths/resolutions about document preparation in LaserPro.
  • Verify title work, flood and hazard insurance requirements are met/fulfilled, including but not limited to validation of coverage and documentation of mortgagee.
  • Coordinate handoff to booking and funding.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the documentation requirements of commercial loans.
  • Prepare and assist with reporting for Credit Services department.
  • Create and track ticklers for financial covenant monitoring.
  • Build and perform upkeep of electronic credit files
  • Process construction draw requests, Line of Credit advances, loan renewals and modifications.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and examinations.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in collecting financials from customer for annual reviews, covenant tests, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Excellent computer literacy in all Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat)
  2. Core customer relationship management system and imaging system experience
  3. Working knowledge of commercial loan policy and banking regulations
  4. Basic accounting knowledge
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in dynamic environment, which demands the
  6. ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities
  7. Strong people skills and critical thinking skills
  8. Excellent customer service skills
  9. Ability to resolve conflict and provide resolution professionally and in an empathetic manner to customers
  10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative, and make effective decisions
  11. Ability to read and interpret loan documents & data to others
  12. Professional verbal and written communication skills, on the phone and in person
  13. Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow assigned tasks through completion

Education and Experience:
  • Business experience in commercial banking loan servicing or loan administration, quality assurance or quality control, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Paralegal experience preferred.
  • Seven (7) plus years commercial loan documentation experience to include experience in commercial loan documentation review, quality control, and/or audit review
  • Five (5) years' experience in commercial loan processing including in closing C&I and CRE loans
  • Experience with LaserPro documentation software or similar processing software
