Account Manager, Materials Protection

The successful Regional Account Manager in Materials Protection (Plastic Additives) is responsible for the delivery of sales in the Materials Protection business. In this role you will collaborate closely with all functions (Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Regulatory and other support functions). You will be accountable for the implementation of sales and marketing business strategies. This position is located in Morristown, NJ and is a remote role, with consideration for a fully remote opportunity.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Achieve agreed financial and commercial objectives for the assigned customers in the defined territory.
  • Participate actively in development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing and sales business plans that increase gross profit and expand market share.
  • Maintain and develop major customers by providing commercial and technical support and creating customer visit reports and regular sales summaries and market information.
  • Drive new business opportunities and implement actions for delivery (communicate through SFDC).
  • Develop accurate forecasting and demand planning.
  • Maximize the profitability of sales through thorough implementation of selling prices, MOC, MOV and PC2.
  • Optimization of cash flow through management payment terms.
  • Develop on an on-going basis, market intelligence required to gain competitive information as well as identify new applications for existing products.
  • Deliver "best in class" customer care in order meet business plan objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering/manufacturing, chemistry, biology or other science based technical disciplines.
  • Must have 5 plus years of experience in a Regional Sales role in the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in Plastics/ Plastic Additives preferred.
  • Experience with biocides and additives experience, strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and management skills
  • Must be willing to travel to customer sites - up to 50% travel likely.
