Product Stewardship Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Stewardship Specialist who is looking for a fast paced team environment. This role will be responsible for customer communications, raw material documentation, and maintenance of product certifications. This person will report directly to the Regulatory Compliance Manager and will work closely with the business and R&D teams on existing and new product innovations.

Duties And Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to the following (Product Stewardship, Regulatory Compliance focus areas):
  • Working closely with procurement to gather regulatory information on all current and proposed raw materials.
  • Evaluating the regulatory compliance status of raw materials and their associated products.
  • Supporting the development of safety data sheets and product labels through data gathering and information management.
  • Developing and assisting with implementing product stewardship policies, programs, procedures, and management systems.
  • Publish customer facing and internal documents that are critical to Customer satisfaction including the completion of customer forms and coordinating product certifications.
  • Proactively and continually improves their level of knowledge about global chemical-control regulatory requirements
Experience And Qualifications
  • Experience in working with regulatory agencies or areas of concentration such as: FDA, Health Canada, European Union REACH, Global Harmonization System (GHS), Classification for Labelling & Packaging (CLP), Hazard Communication, Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Pesticides/Biocides, and/or ISO certifications is a plus.
  • Must have good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, and capable of collaborating with the business and other functions to support implementation of global product stewardship strategy, regulatory affairs policies, compliance standards, programs and operating procedures as applicable.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and ability to accurately manage large amounts of information.
  • Commitment to integrity, quality, collaboration, and innovation
  • Professional judgment for managing complex regulatory challenges and meeting the business needs
Knowledge/Skills/Capabilities:
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Good organizational skills are a requirement as well as the ability to work in a high paced environment and change direction with little effort.
  • Ability to spend several hours in an office setting in front of a computer.
Education
  • BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related science preferred. Minimum 1 years of experience in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, or trade compliance.
