Primary Purpose

The Information Technology Technician is responsible for augmenting and assisting Information Technology Manager with various projects, researching and recommending new technologies. This position provides technical assistance to Agency personnel in response to inquiries and request for services related to personal computers and peripherals. Education and Qualification Requirement

Duties
  • Generate proposals for new/upgrade equipment procurement
  • Design/install and/or maintain various transmission systems
  • Maintains data communication lines
  • Prepare, review, approve and submit purchase requisitions for equipment/supplies
  • Integrate voice and data communications
  • Coordinate telephone line installations
  • Assist programmers, technical support personnel and users as required
  • Assist management in making decision on issues where no guidelines or policy exists

  • Maintain operational status of hardware
