As a Customer Service / Call Center Representative at Christian Community Credit Union, you'll take a proactive approach to educate members about our diverse products and services. Utilizing your product knowledge and rapport-building skills, you will effectively communicate the benefits of various account types, guiding members to select the most suitable options for their needs. Your role will involve delivering outstanding customer service and member experiences through multiple channels, including phone, email, chat, and SMS, ensuring that every interaction meets or exceeds expectations. Additionally, you will assist members with both monetary and non-monetary transactions, inquiries, and problem-solving, while enhancing our organization's reputation by taking ownership of unique requests and challenges. To thrive as a Customer Service / Call Center Representative at Christian Community Credit Union, you will need a diverse set of skills and experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year in a customer service role within a banking or credit union environment. Demonstrated cross-selling experience is essential, and familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software, particularly Word and Excel, will be beneficial. Experience dealing with the public in a call center environment, and bilingual skills in English & Spanish, are preferred.

Your capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be crucial. Excellent telephone techniques, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, will help you build rapport with members, while a good math aptitude and typing speed of 35 words per minute will support your success in processing transactions efficiently.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a customer service position for a bank/credit union required
  • Cross-selling experience required
  • Minimum one year of experience dealing with the public in a call center environment preferred
  • Knowledge of word processing (Word preferred) and spreadsheets (Excel preferred)
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles preferred
