What's your day like?
As a Customer Service/Call Center Representative at Christian Community Credit Union, you'll play a vital role in proactively educating members about our diverse banking products and services. Utilizing your product knowledge and rapport-building skills, you will effectively communicate how various account types can benefit our members, guiding them in selecting the most suitable options for their unique needs. Your commitment to delivering an outstanding member experience will shine through as you assist with monetary and non-monetary transactions, inquiries, and problem-solving via phone, email, chat, and SMS. By accepting ownership of new and diverse requests, you will contribute to a customer-centric culture that prioritizes empathy and excellence in every interaction.
What you need to be successful
To excel as a Customer Service/Call Center Representative at Christian Community Credit Union, a robust set of skills and experiences is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role within a bank or credit union. Cross-selling experience is crucial, as you will be guiding members in selecting the right products and services.
Familiarity with word processing tools like Word and spreadsheets such as Excel is necessary for efficient documentation and reporting. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred, enabling you to communicate with a broader member base. Call center experience is preferred and will further enhance your ability to assist members. The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced call center environment, combined with excellent telephone techniques, verbal and written communication skills, and a good math aptitude with typing speed of 35 wpm, will set you up for success in this role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of experience working in a customer service position for a bank/credit union required
- Cross-selling experience required
- Minimum one year of experience dealing with the public in a call center environment preferred
- Knowledge of word processing (Word preferred) and spreadsheets (Excel preferred)
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles preferred
