PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Human Resources Manager should be a passionate professional with experience in California labor law, trade unions, and employee relations. You will be responsible for managing investigations and collaborating on disciplinaries with management, as well as revising policies and procedures. As the Head of Human Resources for the Company, you will be exposed to many challenging situations in which your industry knowledge and HR expertise will come in handy.

TYPICAL DUTIES: Lead on all investigations, assist with disciplinaries, and couch management Conducts Leadership Trainings onsite as well as in offices at TIMEC locations Works with legal counsel to keep the company in compliance on ever-changing laws Teams up with Labor Relations to prevent risk in union (California) environments Boost employee morale with monthly employee engagement events Coordinates quarterly virtual Town Halls with executive team Manages Service Award program with ordering and presenting of awards Virtual EEO State and Federal Reporting Manages LinkedIn Recruiting platform for job postings and candidate searching as well as Indeed postings as necessary Audits harassment training and E-Verify, and works with the Staffing department on updates Produces bi-annual company newsletter “Nuts & Bolts” Annual ordering of company labor law posters with site distribution Maintains harassment training log and manages mandatory training requirements Manages Human Resources department’s intranet page Aids with social media posts on LinkedIn Onboarding of staff employees with “New Employee Spotlight” announcements Writes offer letters and conducts exit interviews Builds strong relationships with operations and site leadership to support the field Opportunity to lead and/or participate in company committees, visit job sites, and attend relative trainings Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed consistently Drives a culture of collaborative, open door communication Follows the company’s “Safety First” philosophy

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED: 10 years Human Resources experience or BA in Human Resources with 5 years’ experience plus California labor law knowledge Trade union knowledge Industrial construction industry background Great attention to detail Capital of working in a fast-paced environment Organizational skills Positive attitude, ready to lead by example PHR / SHRM certification a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Active driver license, dependable vehicle and able to drive freeways Up to 25% travel required (nationally) The person in this role may be walking, moving boxes, lifting, sitting, and bending for long periods of time Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machine, printer, and other virtual technology
