What we need:
The role will drive the supply chain demand planning process. Demand Planning activities associated with this position include: (1) develop, approve and track forecasts; (2) allocation, launch, and closeout planning for product lifecycles; (3) develop appropriate forecast models at the product and style level by channel; (4) facilitate consensus forecasting meetings.
The role will develop and control the demand planning processes and systems for the assigned products and customers. Building upon a well-conceived and maintained statistical forecast, it will enhance the demand plan by adding personal expertise in forecasting, statistics and systems and effectively incorporate sales, product, key customer and strategic knowledge. The role will also incorporate existing order management protocol, key customer collaborative knowledge, sales & marketing insights, and macroeconomic/ econometric data. It will coordinate the process to give the best consensus demand plans as input to the IBP process.
What you’ll do:
Develop the monthly sales forecast in the OMP Forecasting system including phase outs and discontinuations, promotions and events, and product introductions.
Collaborate with Product and Sales to ensure accurate and timely customer and product market intelligence are reflected in the forecast
Analyze product trends and adjust forecasts as appropriate
Manage statistical forecast models and resolve model exceptions x Analyze and resolve root cause issues to improve forecasting results
Manage/lead the monthly Consensus Forecast process
Accountable for Business Unit forecast results and KPls
Develop strategic and tactical plans for continuous improvement in demand planning process and systems.
Identify tools and processes required to track performance and provide Management with monthly performance measures vs. goal and planned improvement plans.
Manage the creation and execution of accurate and timely forecast and demand plan to downstream planning and manufacturing x partners/facilities.
Owns forecasting relationship with Product Management and provides closed loop feedback regarding forecast trends and accuracy.
Define, evaluate and implement critical demand planning system requirements and strategies (i.e. OM Partners, etc.).
Develop key metrics and measurement for senior management to facilitate effective decision making.
What you have:
Minimum BA/BS degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain or related field
5 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high growth organization
Advanced Planning System (e.g. OM Partners, SAP, Logility). Demand Planning experience strongly recommended.
APICS certification preferred
What you’re good at:
Excellent verbal and written communications skill are required
Able to gather and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and provide recommendations
Ability to partner with key stakeholders to meet objectives
Demonstrate ability to formulate action plans quickly and implement solutions effectively
Excellent Excel and Access skills (complex formulas and modeling capability)
Excellent meeting management and presentation skills
