**POSITION** **SUMMARY** Services existing life & health accounts. Provides support for producers to facilitate the growth of new business and to retain existing clients. Directs sales of individual life & health products.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**

* Provides daily customer service to existing customers, documenting all conversations into the agency management system.

* Discusses insurance needs with customers and advises customers on proper products to meet their particular needs. Reviews existing accounts and suggests additional coverages.

* Obtains quotes for prospects.

* Negotiates terms and premiums with underwriters and has the authority to bind coverage on behalf of underwriters of various insurance agencies.

* Services existing clients with day to day needs necessary for their insurance program.

* Must maintain a license in good standing as required with the IN Department of Insurance.

* Must have valid drivers license.

* Completes all compliance training related to the position.

* Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

**NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** Performs all other duties as assigned.

**EXPERIENCE/SKILLS**

* Five (5) to ten (10) years experience preferred.

* Previous risk management and customer service experience preferred.

* Knowledge of agency management and carrier rating systems.

* Good communication skills.

* Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.

* Ability to work independently to achieve sales goals.

* Attention to detail.

**EDUCATION** Bachelors Degree preferred.

**LICENSES** Indiana Life & Health license required.

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS** Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
