Overview:

Recruiting for a privately-owned industry leader in electrical construction projects, headquartered in Charlotte, NC. The company is known for handling dynamic and complex assignments using cutting-edge technology and delivering innovative design work to meet customer needs.

Function:

The Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the electrical activities and field labor of one or more projects. This role involves managing labor productivity and costs, providing technical and administrative direction, and ensuring jobsite objectives are met. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety programs is essential.

Responsibilities & Authority:

Labor Management:

Oversee labor productivity, develop task codes, and manage budgeting and tracking.

Collaborate with Field Operations Manager and Project Manager on labor requirements and projections.

Plan and organize labor, tools, materials, equipment, and information to meet budget and production goals.

Project Coordination:

Participate in weekly meetings to align the jobsite team with project goals.

Develop and maintain project schedules with the Project Manager.

Attend contractor project meetings, prepared to discuss schedules and constraints.

Supervise Foremen and Senior Electricians, coordinating their work activities.

Provide technical advice and resolve field problems.

BIM & VDC:

Engage in BIM and Clash Detection Meetings, supporting the BIM team throughout the project.

Assist in creating VDC drawings and prefab review meetings.

Review and approve drawings, identifying prefab opportunities.

Quality & Safety:

Enforce best practices, quality control, and safety standards.

Conduct daily job walks, documenting deficiencies, constraints, and problems in Daily Reports or internal communications.

Staff Development:

Assess staff strengths and weaknesses, recommending training opportunities to the Field Operations Manager.

General Duties:

Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Field Operations Manager.

Preferred Education and Qualifications:

Proven ability to manage single projects larger than $7M in annual revenue.

NC Electrical License or equivalent.

Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
