Civil Engineer

to support our growing organization. This

Full Time

position is based in our

Fort Collins, CO

office during our business hours,

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM .

A Day in the Life of a Civil Engineer
As a Civil Engineer at Sunrise Engineering in Fort Collins, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects. In the afternoon, you meet with clients, acting as their advocate and building strong relationships. As a mentor, you guide and nurture the growth of EITs and designers.
Your day-to-day activities may include:
Leading and managing civil engineering projects, which encompass water, sewer, drainage, and grading elements.
Utilizing AutoCAD and Land Desktop software to prepare original drawings and revisions for civil engineering projects.
Conducting engineering studies, acquiring funding, and navigating the permitting process for successful project implementation.
Acting as a client advocate, ensuring client satisfaction and building lasting relationships.
Fostering a positive work environment, mentoring team members, and promoting a culture of Safety, Balance, and Fun.

Some basic qualifications for success include:
A bachelors degree in engineering coupled with a valid P.E. License.
Demonstrated a minimum of five years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects.
Proven strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
Adaptable and open to working both in the office and on various project locations, embracing diverse challenges and environments.
