They have been operating for over 20+ years and have steadily grown to provide both civil engineering and land surveying services. They have been responsible for a variety of projects ranging from simple, single-task designs to multi-task/multi-phase projects. Their professional staff has extensive experience on municipal, residential, and commercial projects.

Job Description:

A Civil Engineer plays a vital role in the planning, design, and construction of various civil infrastructure projects. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to the development and maintenance of our built environment. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the following key duties and tasks:

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Professional engineering licensure (PE) or the ability to obtain it is often required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of construction management and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans and designs, including site layouts, structural components, and infrastructure systems.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to create project blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
  • Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that projects are built according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and address any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including design changes, construction progress, and any deviations from the original plans.
  • Prepare project reports and documentation for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop contingency plans.
  • Solve technical problems and address unexpected issues during construction.
  • Integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices into project designs, such as energy-efficient infrastructure and responsible resource use.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors, to ensure successful project outcomes.
