****Position Summary:****

As a member of the Transportation Executive Team, this role functions as a dual role as a Program Manager for all RSGs proprietary Transportation products and manages internal/external IT Developers responsible for functionality of IIM systems. The roll will also be involved in communication and implementation of strategies to improve revenue and underwriting results for RSG Transportation Platform including RT Brokers and Underwriters across the US specializing in insuring motor carriers.

****Essential Functions:****

* Develop and implement new automated solutions to monitor and ensure compliance with relevant internal and external standards (i. e. underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements).

* Maintain and expand claims data-feeds to improve the quality of internal experience from insurance carriers.

* Update and distribute required monthly, quarterly and annual reports to internal and external stakeholders

* Ensure IIMs rate/quote/bind/issue/endorse systems are compliant with all approved carrier state filings for programs administered by RSG.

* Monitor targets and standards (metrics) for proprietary underwriting programs; review and evaluate the performance; provide feedback and calibrate as needed

* Review, recommend and change proprietary program underwriting guidelines, including rate and form filings; achieve carrier profitability targets

* Expand proprietary programs thru creation of new programs or expansion of existing programs that create more internal underwriting authority and decrease reliance on markets not offering exclusive/semi-exclusive distribution

* Manage and maintain excellent working relationships with insurance carrier and TPA partners; ensure seamless implementation of new carrier relationships

* Build strong partnerships with RSG stakeholders across the business units to improve collaboration, identify opportunities to improve services and ensure client satisfaction

* Other duties as assigned

****Education/Experience/Skills:****

* Eight to ten years underwriting management experience

* Prior experience as an MGA or carrier; strong understanding of the insurance carrier and brokerage business

* Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience. If Undergraduate degree, desire either insurance, IT programming, sciences, engineering, statistics or actuarial science; MBA and/or CPCU preferred

* Deep expertise across a variety of risk, insurance and reinsurance products/services; knowledge of transportation industry and related-coverages

* Deep expertise across a broad range of underwriting techniques and methods

* Willing to obtain Property & Casualty license for required continuing education

* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and influence at senior leadership level

* Excellent relationship management skills

* Substantial management experience, including at senior levels; high quality coaching skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

* Excellent organizational skills;

* Proficient with office technology tools

* Experience developing functional strategy and cascading broader business strategy to the underwriting teams

* Must demonstrate high energy, enthusiasm, and flexibility; must be able to perform under pressure and handle multiple concurrent priorities
