Job Title: Account Executive - SMB Markets
Supervisor: Director of Sales
Department: Revenue
Salary Range: $60k to $90k base salary, based on qualifications and experience. (Plus additional variable compensation)
Location: Remote - Preferred States: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Job Summary:
An Account Executive is responsible for using their knowledge of company products or services to connect with CPG companies (small to medium accounts) to generate new bookings. Duties include developing sales pitches to sell products or services, making cold calls to prospects and or taking calls from prospective customers and maintaining documentation of their sales activities in Salesforce.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be an expert on all TraceGains products
- Identify prospective customers, through lead generation and conversion, leveraging the same technology used by the Sales Development resources
- On a consistent basis, contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems and answer questions about the products
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues on the revenue team and work with customer success and marketing to grow and develop pipeline
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
- Determine number of viable prospects to target within assigned accounts
- Ensure all assigned accounts have cross functional and executive contacts
- Develop, grow, and maintain an annual pipeline exceeding $1.5M
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 1-3 years of SaaS sales experience, consistently achieving quota
- Strong negotiation skills, the ability to motivate and inspire people
- Advanced computer skills with CRM, Microsoft Office, Sales Loft, ZoomInfo
- Food & Beverage and Supplements industry experience a plus, but not required
- Ability to be a positive team player, willing to grow and change (standard, keep)
- Occasional travel required for department meetings, all company events, in-person seminars/networking events, etc.
- 20-30% travel required to customer sites and industry events
