Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive category strategies aligned with stakeholder goals, utilizing market intelligence, demand management, sustainability, supplier diversity, and total cost of ownership.
- Identify and mitigate areas of high risk within the category, leading cross-functional teams to develop actionable risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify, secure support from stakeholders, and deliver cost-saving projects to meet organizational targets.
- Provide spend analytics, market research, and cost modeling for internal purposes and business unit clients to support category strategies.
- Foster strong working relationships with key natural gas utility stakeholders.
- Utilize industry knowledge and technology to establish should-cost models, identify spend leverage opportunities, and conduct supplier negotiations.
- Actively monitor industry trends and best practices related to category assignments, incorporating them into category and execution plans.
- Research and develop a working knowledge of assigned commodities/services, including production processes, specifications, and usage within the Company.
- Collaborate with business units to define purchase scope and objectives, assessing associated risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in strategic sourcing, with a track record of achieving sustainable cost reduction.
- 2-3 years of Buyer Procurement experience and 3-5 years of Supply Chain Procurement Sourcing experience.
- Strong analytical mindset and category management expertise.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with contact management, supply chain, market analysis, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with RFI, RFQ, RFP, ASAP, SAP.
- Bonus: Data integration experience from SAP to COUPA.
