Scope of Work

The duties of this contract position will include but are not limited to day-to-day project management and related tasks such as: development of project charters, project plans, schedule, scope and budget management, resource planning, issue and risk management, weekly status reports, and preparation and delivery of assigned presentations to various audiences.
Work will start on a full-time basis. This contract position reports to the Strategic Portfolio Management Office (SPMO) and will work with Information Services Division (ISD), agency business partners, and various department staff. It is anticipated that the nature of the project will require work to be performed during hours that are compatible with other project team members to maximize team effectiveness and project success.

Period of Performance

Upon contract execution, through April 2025 unless otherwise extended. Extensions are at DOL's sole discretion, based upon mutual agreement, and are funding dependent.

Place of Performance

At this time, only in-state contractors will be considered. Contractor will be expected to provide services remotely. Contractor must be available within two days if notified the Department will be returning to work on-site at which time DOL will identify which DOL location this position will be assigned to.
Contractor will be required to pick up, in person, remote working equipment at the Department's Tumwater, WA warehouse location. Directions and instructions will be provided in advance and include the required COVID-19 safe distancing procedures.
Contractor is solely responsible for their remote working environment, including an accessible Internet / Wi-Fi connection.

It is anticipated that the nature of the project will require work to be performed during hours that are compatible with other project team members in order to maximize team effectiveness and project success.

The Project Management contract position services (in partnership with other resources) may

Development of Project Charters and Plans
Project Schedule
Budget Management
Resource Planning
Weekly written Project Status Reports
Project presentations development and delivery
Project documentation monitoring and synchronization
Project team meetings management
Project communications
Project Issue / Risk Definition and Resolution
Team and staff task assignments
Management of meetings identified
Capacity to learn DOL's Service Now Project Management System

Preferred Experience Requirements

The candidate should have demonstrated project management experience
The candidate should have demonstrated IT project management expereince
The candidate should have knowledge and experience in project management practices
The candidate should have expert-level facilitation and organization skills
The candidate should be able to produce required status reports and updates to leadership teams on a timely basis.
The candidate should be flexible enough to follow the current team processes/procedures in place as defined by DOL and Vendor teams.
The candidate should have excellent verbal/written communication/documentation skills.

Acceptance Criteria
DOL shall have a period of ten (10) business days after the Contractor notifies DOL that a Defined Deliverable is complete, to evaluate the Deliverable to determine if the Deliverable contains any material deviations. If DOL does not notify the Contractor in writing of any nonconformity prior to the deadline, then the Deliverable shall be deemed accepted.
If DOL notifies the Contractor in writing of a Defined Deliverable nonconformity, then the Contractor shall promptly make reasonable efforts to correct the
eliverable, whereupon DOL shall receive an additional ten (10) business day period, commencing upon DOL's receipt of the correction, to verify that the previously reported Deliverable has been satisfactorily corrected. DOL shall provide the Contractor with all reasonable assistance required by the Contractor to verify the existence of and correct a reported Deliverable nonconformity. The parties shall repeat this process until DOL acceptance of the Defined Deliverable. The Deliverable shall be deemed accepted by DOL upon expiration of any period during which no Defined Deliverable nonconformity has been reported.
