Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Director of Education at Rumors NextGen Salon will be responsible for implementing comprehensive training programs to ensure the highest standards of service and professionalism among our stylists. This role will play a critical part in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the salon.

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Program Implementation:

Implement educational programs and workshops that enhance the technical skills, creativity, and customer service abilities of our stylists.

Training Delivery:

Conduct hands-on training sessions, seminars, and one-on-one coaching for stylists, focusing on advanced techniques, product knowledge (Unite Hair Care, Wella, and Bellami), and current industry trends.

Performance Evaluation:

Monitor and assess the performance and progress of stylists through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and additional training as needed.

Mentorship:

Act as a mentor and role model for stylists, fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment.

Product Knowledge:

Stay current with new products and techniques from Unite Hair Care, Wella, and Bellami and ensure that all stylists are proficient in their use.

Collaboration:

Work closely with salon management and staff to identify training needs and opportunities for professional development.

Event Coordination:

Plan and coordinate educational events, including guest artist workshops, product demonstrations, and industry seminars.

Community Outreach:

Represent Rumors NextGen Salon at local events, schools, and community centers to promote the salon and its educational programs.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed hair stylist with a strong background in education and training. Previous experience with Unite Hair Care and Wella products is highly preferred.

Education:

Certification from an accredited cosmetology school. Additional certifications in hair coloring, cutting, and styling techniques are a plus.

Leadership Skills:

Proven leadership and mentorship abilities, with a passion for teaching and inspiring others.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and engagingly.

Organization:

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and schedules simultaneously.

Creativity:

A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.

Flexibility:

Ability to adapt to changing salon needs and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
