This position is responsible to prospect for potential mortgage business, and to prepare, analyze and verify mortgage loan applications. Responsible for timely, accurate, and complete loan file submission to Underwriting. Performs a wide range of duties related to the original of residential mortgage loans for outside referrals.
Pay range - $25K-$300K, commission only
Job Description and Requirements:
Strong Loan Originations experience with SAFE Act registration
Develop a loyal and consistent client base of realtors and borrowers through disciplined, aggressive, and consultative selling techniques based upon a thorough knowledge of the business.
Stay abreast of industry trends, CHL policy, and industry guidelines to ensure proper loan quality
Assume overall responsibility for the residential mortgage loan from application to closing.
Evaluate loan applications and documentation by confirming creditworthiness.
Regularly perform work primarily outside the employer’s offices; spend significant time away from the place of business and meet with prospective clients at locations other than the employer’s business
Have a clear understanding of CHL's value proposition to maximize market share quality and overall performance
Act in the customer’s best interest, ensuring that the customer is placed in the loan program which fits the overall goals and expectations of the loan; educate and inform the customer, and ensure satisfaction with the overall origination process
Submit clean loans to underwriting, and meet underwriter conditions in a timely manner
Ensure that the origination process follows RESPA and all regulatory and legal guidelines
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong consultative sales skills
Must be detail-oriented, but strategic and help create a vision for the division
Strong management skills: must be able to manage projects to achieve desired results
Must be highly professional and ethical; this position will assist with setting the pace and direction for the branch
Must maintain all position-specific licensing required by regulation and/or state and federal law
Experience with Encompass is preferred but not a must
This is a work-from-home position that allows work-life balance and cutting-edge tools to get mortgage applications completed, submitted, and closed all within 20 days of origination.
