As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for interacting with customers, understanding their needs, and providing innovative packaging solutions. You will work closely with the sales team to develop proposals and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in creating packaging designs that meet customer requirements and provide support throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires travel to other company facilities as needed.

Location: Irving, TX (Onsite)

Primary Duties

  • Participate in regular customer interaction
  • Participate in customer visits to discuss projects and customer needs
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by supplying innovative solutions and services to our key customers with respective sales representative
  • Work with the sales team to develop proposals that speak to the customer’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Provide support and advice to our key customers on their packaging needs and respective solutions
  • Meet with customer directly, get product, dimensions, sizing
  • Create packaging to meet the needs of customers. Price, performance of the box
  • Create a monthly tracker of projects, products, and communication for the Director of Innovation & Development
  • Provide support and advice to our key customers on their packaging needs and respective solutions
  • Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules, and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. Employees regardless of level, position, or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards, regulations, and policies.
  • May be assigned to other projects and duties

Qualifications

  • Packaging Degree, product design or similar is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience.
  • Proficiency in Artios Cad design software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Cloud design software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the creation of presentation and presentation skills is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency -- MS Office, CAD, and Adobe Suite is preferred.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to build relationships with a wide range of individuals at all levels and across several disciplines.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Good project management skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills
