A Day in the Life of an HVAC Residential Service Installer

The HVAC Residential Service Installer position replaces, modifies, and/or installs warm air furnaces, air conditioners, duct distribution systems, boilers, water heaters, and related piping and electrical to meet or exceed the manufacturer's recommendations and local codes. They must be able to startup installed equipment and adjust to the manufacturers and job specification. Our HVAC Residential Service Installers must be able to troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise during an installation that would keep the equipment from functioning properly. They must be able to communicate with the consumer regarding the proper operation and owner's maintenance of the installed equipment and answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner. In addition, the HVAC Residential Service Installer must perform required documentation for each installation with a complete startup record and have the client sign necessary paperwork and collect payments as directed.

What you Need to be Qualified for the HVAC Residential Service Installer Position

We are looking for candidates with 1+ years of experience, who are customer service oriented and can communicate effectively with associates, superiors, vendors and customers. Our HVAC Residential Service Installer must communicate with the Field Installation Supervisor throughout each project in order to assure proper, prompt completion of the job and continuously improve knowledge of construction in general, and learn how Infinity Texas Air operates to benefit the customer. Our HVAC Residential Service Installer must establish goals and objectives as they relate to the position, along with a plan of action to attain or exceed set goals and regularly review and monitor progress against goals, and seek assistance as needed. They will ensure customer satisfaction with follow-up on all installations. They should be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications and must be able to accurately list/order materials and supplies. They will work under time constraints, budgetary limits, and pressures so they will need to know how to efficiently manage their time and schedules. Our HVAC Residential Service Installer must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance and be able to work and drive safely, and be able to recognize and avoid dangerous situations.
