Physical Security Representative I

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You'll Be Doing

Under general supervision, maintains a safe and secure environment for team members, Members, vendors, contractors, and visitors by monitoring the physical security of branches and operation centers, monitoring and maintaining physical security systems, and assisting team members with all physical security related incidents and events. May also be required to perform general receptionist duties, including greeting vendors, contractors, and visitors, answering phones, accepting and distributing deliveries, and providing general information to visitors.

  • Maintain the integrity of facility security alarm systems. Ensure appropriate team members have alarm codes as necessary, required, and approved. Issue, modify, and remove alarm codes for team members, contractors, and vendors. Maintain accurate alarm codes records in multiple databases. Conduct alarm code audits and prepare reports.
  • Monitor and respond to alarm activations. Research, troubleshoot, and mitigate alarm activations. Audit alarm activations and prepare reports. Test and coordinate maintenance of alarm systems.
  • Maintain the integrity of access control systems. Ensure team members have appropriate access based on job and locations. Issue, modify, and deactivate access cards for team members, contractors, and vendors. Maintain accurate access card records. Conduct access card audits and prepare reports.
  • Respond to access card malfunctions or failures. Research, troubleshoot, and mitigate access card malfunctions or failures. Test and coordinate maintenance of access control systems.
  • Maintain the integrity of the video management system. Monitor live and recorded video. Assist branch team members with viewing video. Download video for investigative purposes. Audit video management system to ensure time and label accuracy and adequacy of camera placement.
  • Monitor video management system status for outages, malfunctions, or failures. Coordinate repairs and maintenance of the system with security vendor.
  • Conduct site safety and security evaluations and prepare written security evaluation reports and memorandum. Respond to team member safety concerns or complaints.
  • Review incident reports submitted and conduct follow-up investigations as necessary or assigned.
  • Monitor and investigate all 9-1-1 calls made from Credit Union phones or extensions.
  • Monitor activity at Credit Union locations and events to determine need for Physical Security response and respond to team member requests for Physical Security assistance.
  • Assist with receptionist duties. Answer the phones, control access to the building, manage visitors, vendors, and contractors access to the building, and accept deliveries and route to appropriate location.
  • Assist in the production of monthly and annual Physical Security reports.
  • Stay aware of emerging threats and industry best practices; apply these during safety and security evaluations and audits.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of previous related experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, and ability to learn and navigate security systems.
  • Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
  • Must have valid California Driver License.
  • May be required to be on-call to respond to security related issues after-hours.
  • May be required to occasionally work non-standard hours or weekends.
  • May be required to drive your personal vehicle to branch locations throughout the Credit Union's service area.
