Description

Kitchell is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our Marketing department in Sacramento for the summer and establish a long-term rapport with the business services group at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.

Overview

Kitchell CEM is the Owners Representative Division of the Kitchell Companies. As a Marketing Intern, they will maintain a consistent professional business image in support of the Marketing Executive Director's objective of constant improvement to the quality of the company's total marketing effort.

We're currently looking for candidates pursing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or related discipline.

Durration:
  • This role is a summer internship that will be starting in June and ending employment in September.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Director of Marketing and all Marketing staff
  • Coordinates, attends and contributes to marketing meetings with respective teams
  • Assists in the development of proposals, presentations, and other marketing communications
  • Assists in special events/conferences as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Coordinate interview requirements including hotel booking, vendor organization
  • Maintain marketing database and files, including organization of project and staff information
  • Maintain promotional item inventory and marketing supplies
  • Assist in editing and proofreading responses to requests for proposals and qualifications to ensure comprehensive and compliant responses
  • Assist in and coordinate in-house production and assembly of marketing materials (proposals, brochures, etc.)
  • Establishes and maintains effective and professional relationships with internal team members and external vendors consistent with company values
  • Provide administrative duties including completing expense reports, scheduling meetings and catering
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education and Experience
  • 1 or more years of experience in marketing is preferred
  • Pursing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or related discipline is preferred (work experience my substitute for credentials)
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent organizational skills are required
  • Effective multitasking and prioritizing of tasks to meet deadlines is required
  • Ability to work and manage projects both independently and collaboratively with team members is required
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles is required
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of tools and MS Project is required
  • Strong user skills with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat desktop publishing, and Deltek VantagePoint database management software are preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships is required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events is required
  • Ability to demonstrate the competencies of achieving results, initiative, communication, and teamwork is required


Work Environment/Equipment

General office equipment. Binding machine and system. Professional color printer.

Physical Requirements

Requires physical, visual, and manual dexterity to complete work as needed. Must endure continual hours of computer work. Some light-medium lifting.

Travel Requirements

This position is site based at the Sacramento Office location.
