Job Description
We are looking for a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager for our small retail business. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to promote our brand and drive sales. In addition, you will need to have photography skills and experience with Shopify to capture and list photos of items for sale on our Shopify platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Create engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.
- Take high-quality product photos that showcase our items in an attractive and appealing way.
- Edit and enhance product photos using photo editing software to ensure consistency and quality.
- Write compelling and creative captions and descriptions for each product listing on Shopify.
- Manage and schedule social media posts using social media management tools.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages on social media platforms.
- Analyze social media analytics and insights to track the effectiveness of social media campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns.
- Assist in creating and managing paid social media advertisements.
- Support other marketing initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
- Strong photography skills with the ability to capture high-quality product photos.
- Proficiency in using photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms, including listing and managing products.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking and ability to generate unique and engaging content ideas.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to track and measure social media performance.
- A passion for retail and a good understanding of the retail industry.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
