About the Product Team:

Our Product team plays a key role in RELEX's continued growth by building innovative products for some of the world's largest retailers and manufacturers. Leveraging advanced technologies like AI and machine learning, we develop solutions that are both powerful and user-friendly. Thanks to our team's efforts, we have some of the happiest customers in the industry-and they rely on RELEX to manage their daily operations efficiently. Your Role: Industry Strategy Director, General Merchandise, North America
  • Thought Leadership and Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Develop thought leadership content, including blogs, articles, and event presentations, to establish RELEX as a market leader.
    • Build relationships with key industry analysts through briefings and presentations to enhance RELEX's market position.
    • Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to ensure RELEX remains ahead of the curve.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Value Proposition:
    • Define market segmentation strategies to support targeted sales and marketing efforts.
    • Craft differentiated value propositions that align with industry-specific needs, including tailored pricing models.
    • Ensure the availability and alignment of sales materials, product demos, and test drives with RELEX's overall value proposition.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to track the execution and success of GTM strategies.
    • Develop and tailor sales strategies for major accounts in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Sales Enablement & Account Support:
    • Support the execution of sales strategies by working closely with Account Executives and Pre-Sales teams.
    • Leverage industry expertise to build relationships with senior executives at target accounts, positioning RELEX as a strategic partner.
    • Coordinate with Pre-Sales and Product teams to align product offerings with individual customer needs and adapt value propositions based on market feedback.
  • Product Collaboration:
    • Bridge the gap between RELEX's central product team and local market insights to shape product strategies that reflect regional needs.
    • Inform and influence the Product Roadmap by gathering market, customer, and competitive insights.
    • Engage Product Management in customer discovery sessions to ensure detailed requirements are fully captured and understood.
  • Operations Enablement & Partner Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support the implementation of industry-specific solutions.
    • Stay actively involved in key customer implementations to secure success and extract actionable insights.
    • Build relationships with technology providers and third-party partners to create a strong support network for RELEX's growth in General Merchandise.
We're looking for:
  • 10+ years of experience in the General Merchandise industry at a senior level or in consulting roles (North America preferred).
  • Proven thought leadership with insights on industry trends, challenges, and future opportunities.
  • A passion for technology and continuous learning, with the ability to translate trends into business strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking at events, webinars, and conferences.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with experience creating blogs, articles, and social media content.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders across teams.
  • A self-starter with a track record of leading initiatives from vision to execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on knowledge sharing and developing team members.
  • Ability to travel within North America for events and client meetings (approximately once a month).
