About the Role:

The Human Resources Specialist will champion our core values and empower our employees based in US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe to do their best work, be themselves, and feel part of a cohesive, global community.

This role will report to the Vice President of Talent and will play an instrumental part in employee benefits coordination and ensuring new team members are set up for success. The ideal candidate will have professional maturity, take a detail-oriented approach to any project they own, and excel in fast-paced environments.

Core Responsibilities:

Recruiting

  • Post job descriptions on job boards
  • Schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers as needed
  • Assist the VP of Talent as needed in maintaining communication with candidates throughout the interview process.
  • Assist the VP of Talent as needed in maintaining communication with our international recruiter network

Retention

  • In partnership with the VP of Talent, create a personalized onboarding experience for each new employee.
    • Maintain and update employee data in our HRIS (hiring, employee information changes, etc..)
  • Ensure a positive offboarding experience by working with employees on their post-employment needs related to benefits, payroll, and equipment returns.
  • Lead our employee recognition programs, including (but not limited to) celebrating company anniversaries and introducing new employees via our Slack channel.
  • Proactively manage the performance review process, ensuring all performance reviews are completed on time and process related compensation changes with our accounting firm as needed.
  • Continually update and maintain employee records in compliance with government regulations. Displays ultimate care and concern for the privacy of others.
  • Champion the companys DEIB strategy as developed by the VP of Talent and Chief Operating Officer.
    • Administer and manage employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance plans, retirement plans, leave programs, and 401(k) programs.
  • Partner with the VP of Talent to ensure the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices

Who You Are:

  • Human Resource professional with three or more years of experience.
  • Highly detail-oriented and meticulously organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and experience in displaying professional maturity in difficult situations.

** What We Would Like to See :**

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, psychology, or related field.
  • Experience and comfort with a largely remote organization.
  • Proven success delivering for organizations that have undergone significant growth, change, and/or international expansion.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Intellectual drive and a commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends in Human Resources.
  • Excellent computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Position Type: This is a full-time position and this individual is expected to work in CST business hours. We are a largely remote organization with offices located in Chicago and Barcelona. We empower our employees to decide whether theyd like to work from our offices or remotely from a location of their choice.
