Is this you?

  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts) in communications, journalism, or related field
  • 1-2+ years PR/job-related experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related fields, with direct culinary, travel, hospitality and lifestyle client background preferred
  • Strong detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage projects effectively
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills, both technical and creative
  • Strong news writing and reporting proficiency
  • Good base of media contacts
  • Demonstrable media pitching skills
  • Solid understanding of social media and how to utilize it
  • Sensitivity to deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate needs and learn quickly
  • Sensitive listening skills (from client, supervisor, and media)
  • Results-oriented thinking, effective judgment, and ability to anticipate, spot, and fix problems
  • Self-motivated and resourceful
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Computer proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google programs; Cision, MuckRack and other PR programs a bonus
  • Good sense of humor and a love for travel is a must
