Clean Harbors **Metairie, LA** is looking for an **Sr. Inventory Control Analyst** to join their safety conscious team. This location of Clean Harbors is responsible for packaging finished oil products. The Sr. Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for research, analysis & reporting of data, metric maintenance, metric/reporting development and process analysis to monitor, identify, and delivery improvements in the inventory control process. This position is also responsible to work closely with the inventory owners in providing specific reports and analysis for maintaining accurate inventory. Leads and contributes to improvement initiatives related to the Inventory Control Function.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

* Maintain the integrity of the inventory system by reviewing and ensuring accuracy of all transactions and facilitating resolution of issues;

* Manage the Standard Operating Procedures for Inventory Control and ensure compliance of all procedures;

* Work closely with Inventory owners to provide guidelines and policies that will assist in inventory management activities;

* Identify gaps in processes and act as a leader in problem solving and process creating, training, improvement and implementation;

* Collaborate with business resources and departments such as Finance, Accounting and Purchasing to design and implement solutions;

* Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing metrics and procedures that are cost effective and meet business objectives;

* Apply critical problem-solving techniques to modify/eliminate/develop systems/reports/processes;

* Communicate data finding, analysis, status of projects and initiatives to management;

* Assist/support finance with cost accounting analysis;

* Train field personnel on the effective use of analytical tools as it relates to inventory;

* Conduct accurate inventory counts on a Monthly/Quarterly basis and ensure all inventory is rotated on a regular basis using the FIFO protocol and dates are checked consistently;

* Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of Clean Harbors.

* Bachelors Degree in business, accounting or finance required or 10+ years of related work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree;

* 3-5 years of experience in a related field required;

* 5+ years of inventory reporting and presentation preferred;

* A statistics background/education is preferred;

* Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines is required;

* Ability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision is required;

* Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a professional manner is required;

* Excellent verbal and communication skills are required.
