The Staff Accountant will assist in preparation of monthly financial statements, year-end audits, budgets, reconciliations and perform general accounting duties. They will prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Create general ledger entries for deposit and income allocations, code and allocate expense items, complete payroll entries and bank reconciliations.

Assist in preparing and analyzing month-end financials and year-end financials, identify budget variances, and margin discrepancies.

Complete sales and meals tax preparation.

Oversee cash management.

Maintain 401k database to ensure accurate hire/term dates and hours of service. Work with payroll and/or human resources to adjust dates in the payroll system as warranted.

Work collaboratively with payroll, accounting, and cash office staff.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3 +years prior experience in accounting.

Working knowledge of general ledger and financial statements.

Detailed accounting and analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
