About the Role: We are looking for a Sustainability Specialist to develop and manage Gore Performance Solutions (GPS) global sustainability reporting processes, to enable ESG reporting compliance and customer disclosure needs. This role offers opportunities to work closely with sustainability SMEs, regional commercial teams, and cross-functional teams, in support of GPS improvement priorities and evolving stakeholder expectations.

This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • As a Member of the Product Environmental Accounting Center of Excellence (CoE), support development of data and accounting methodology to enable consistent and compliant product-related analysis and reporting on Carbon Scope 3 and life cycle assessments (LCAs)
  • Support implementation of CoE framework within GPS, including guidelines, business processes, and priority targets for GPS product portfolio
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and modeling for use in LCAs and new product development (NPD) projects, with a focus on Automotive and Electronics (EPS) customers
  • Represent GPS interests as a member of the Sustainability Reporting CoE and act as designated GPS reporting coordinator
  • Establish and coordinate GPS process for collecting, verifying, and managing sustainability data across business teams and functions
  • Gather, analyze, and transmit GPS data and supporting documentation for mandatory reporting (e.g., CSRD, CBAM, California climate regulations) and Gore's annual sustainability update
  • Advise business and commercial teams on requirements and feasibility of sustainability-related clauses in customer Codes of Conduct, RFPs, and contracts
  • Support regional commercial teams by providing complex sustainability information, as required for detailed supplier assessments and strategic customer portal participation
  • Work with Sustainability Communications Partner, maintain standardized set of documents and approved responses to key topics/common questions, enable faster and efficient handling of typical inquiries and surveys
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical, environmental, sustainability, business analytics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience, with minimum 1 year in sustainability or regulatory analysis/reporting
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to contribute to a team environment
  • Ability to develop, execute, and maintain processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fluid environment
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using LCA software, such as SimaPro, OpenLCA, or Sphera
  • Knowledge of relevant GHG standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi) and sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD, etc.)
