About the Role:

As a Benefit Specialist, you will play a critical role in administering and managing a wide range of employee benefits programs. Working closely with the Senior Benefits Specialist, youll be a key link between Carenets Team Members and People Services, ensuring that our employees understand and make the most of their benefits.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefit Administration: Manage and administer various employee benefits programs in the U.S. and the Philippines.
  • Daily Processing: Assist in daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, changes, leaves, and claims.
  • Employee Support: Provide proactive education and timely customer service support to eligible plan participants.
  • Orientation & Communication: Conduct benefits orientations, explain the enrollment system, and prepare communications that highlight benefit offerings.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Create, prepare, and analyze benefits reports, ensuring accurate data management.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and support benefit plan audits.
  • Coordination: Work with third-party administrators, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Employee Engagement: Participate in New Employee Orientation to introduce Carenet benefits.
  • Documentation: Maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes and manage employee benefits filing systems.


Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
    • Knowledge of U.S. state and federal FMLA regulations, ADA, Workers Compensation, and Philippine benefits.
    • Familiarity with medical disability management.
  • Skills:

    • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
    • Ability to drive HR processes and deliver high-quality services.
    • Flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with UKG or other HRIS systems is preferred.
    • Self-starter with a proactive and motivated attitude.
    • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work well across teams to achieve goals.
