As an Electrical Project Engineer in the semiconductor industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of electrical components within large-scale projects. You will collaborate with field supervisors, manage project schedules, and provide technical expertise in the design and installation of electrical systems. This position demands a strong understanding of electrical raceways, cable trays, and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methodologies.
Responsibilities:

  • Drawing and Specification Interpretation: Assist field supervisors in interpreting drawings, specifications, IRs/RFIs, and questions for/from the Architect/Engineer, with a particular focus on electrical raceways and cable trays.
  • Project Scheduling: Assist in developing and updating the project schedule, specifically for electrical installations, ensuring timely completion and integration with overall project timelines.
  • Form Detailing and Design Support: Provide support for form detailing and special design related to electrical raceways and cable trays, ensuring all designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Production Analysis: Conduct production analysis studies concentrating on electrical components to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Mentorship and Development: Develop, manage, and mentor office engineers, focusing on enhancing their electrical expertise and professional growth.
  • Safety Compliance: Participate in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety audits, with a strong emphasis on electrical safety practices and regulations.
  • Inspection Participation: Facilitate and/or participate in Preparatory Meetings, Initial Inspections, Follow-up Inspections, etc., with a keen attention to electrical systems and their compliance.
  • VDC Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of the VDC Scope of Work, VDC Execution Plan, and VDC deliverables, particularly related to electrical systems.
  • VDC Strategy Alignment: Align VDC strategies with project planning related to field operations for electrical work, including schedule coordination, model coordination for submittals, constructability review, installation validation, BIM to Field Layout, and Field Layout to BIM.
  • 3D Model and Scheduling Software: Ability to review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software for electrical systems, ensuring accurate planning and execution.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the VDC team, focusing on electrical raceways, underground cabling, and cable trays to ensure integrated and efficient project execution.
Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within the semiconductor industry.
  • Proficiency in VDC methodologies and related software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including raceways, cable trays, and underground cabling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of the job.
  • 2-4 year's experience in construction working with electrical equipment

Compensation:
  • $35-45/hr plus $1400 weekly per diem
