Seeking an excellent communicator and leader to support operations by leading the inventory, production planning, scheduling and warehouse functions. Ideal candidates will have prior experience implementing and utilizing MRP, utilizing customer forecast data and maintaining production schedules. This person will interface with customers, production planning, purchasing, production and engineering and ensure alignment with sales.

What You'll Be Doing: Provide support and direction to inventory, production planning, scheduling and warehouse team members. Interface with customers, production planning, purchasing, production and engineering. Ensure safest, most effective, and efficient processes are followed. Be the company's source for customer analysis and resource/capacity planning. Monitor all scheduling and on time delivery to ensure a balance is met between customer demand and resource scheduling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for Supervising and developing Production Planning and Scheduling employees. Supports shipping & receiving supervisor and warehouse team.
  • Ensure customer service team develops and maintains positive relationships with our external customers and internal team through effective communication.
  • Responsible for maintaining plant capacity planning, overseeing master schedule and production control plans of plant part streams.
  • Effectively communicate schedule requirements, manufacturing status, and any necessary changes with internal management team.
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw material, finished goods, and all purchased components to ensure acceptable inventory turn levels while at the same time product availability to our customers.
  • Oversees proper work order generation, and completed work orders are closed accurately and timely by working with production supervisors.
  • Monitor inventories to maintain minimal levels of inventories while also providing on-time customer deliveries.
  • Responsible for the effective scheduling of production resources (equipment and manpower) to maximize throughput and ensure production efficiency related to run standards.
  • Ensure ISO procedures are being adhered to.
  • Ensure employees follow safety regulations, are knowledgeable about safety requirements and make sure that no violations occur.
  • Will support and backup location's sales initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in the RFC Continuous Improvement Program
Schedule: This manager-level position is an onsite role; overtime-exempt and will primarily workeight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience. In lieu of degree, High School Diploma and 10 years related management experience/training, including managing production planning or related teams can be considered.
  • Five or more years' related business experience. At least one to two years should be in schedule, planning and development. Must also understand material planning, capacity planning, purchasing in a make to order, make to stock and engineer to order environment. Prior experience with EDI (830 forecasts, 862s)
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office with strong Excel spreadsheet knowledge, ERP systems utilizing MRP and production scheduling (SAP, Visual, Global Shop or similar). Shipment software experience also helpful. P
  • Experience with scheduling manufacturing resources in JIT or Lean environment
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • US Person as defined by ITAR & EAR
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Experience with: production planning, inventory management, managing warehouse logistics team, clerical skills, data entry, and report development from ERP using Excel and other tools
  • Forklift experience
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements
