Description
Production Control has an opening for a Production Planner. Our planners are responsible for scheduling activities, including interpreting shipping requirements, monitoring inventory levels and adjusting machine loads to meet customer orders.
What Will You Do?
- Participates in the development of monthly production plans and assists in the development of production and shipping schedules.
- Assists in preparing monthly production plan and updates during the month.
- Interprets customer shipping schedules to develop die casting, finishing, and machining schedules.
- Balances production operations, considering product mix, makes calculations and updates schedules accordingly.
- Creates and maintain excellent working rapport with operations departments.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Works under limited supervision, supervisors are available when needed but typically outline broad objectives and follow up throughout the process.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer at least 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proven ability to make decisions concerning customer requirements vs. production capabilities.
- Able to work effectively with others in setting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge and ability to operate various basic computer software, such as Microsoft Office.
