Bellevue, United States Snowflake Computing Full time

Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.

One of the unique benefits of Snowflake's architecture is the ability to securely share data and functions with another Snowflake account without creating a copy of the data. The Snowflake Marketplace builds on our Secure Data Sharing functionality to be the 'AppStore for Data, Models, Services, and Apps'. It enables Providers and Consumers to publish/discover, and monetize data and data services. Providers on the Marketplace use Data Sharing as the means to deliver their data, model, app, or service, replacing traditional delivery methods such as files and APIs. Sharing and Collaboration plays a key strategic role in our Data Cloud Think of Data Sharing as the connective tissue that drives the network effect of the Data Cloud

We are hiring an experienced Principal Product Manager to design, develop, and further extend our Secure Data Sharing foundation. In the right hands, we believe this has the potential to shape the future of our business substantially.

We're looking for candidates with strong technical and product management skills, as well as business and strategic acumen. At Snowflake, we put our customers first and want to continue building products our users love.
AS A SNOWFLAKE PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Define and evolve the product vision and direction for Secure Data Sharing to share data globally across the Snowflake Data Cloud and to support new use cases.
  • Work in a cross-functional and collaborative role spanning several teams such as product, design, engineering, marketing, sales, and support.
  • Work closely with engineering and other product counterparts to own delivery and execution of the product roadmap, as well as with sales and marketing to drive go-to-market and deliver on business goals.
  • Drive the strategic direction of data sharing to evolve and address new types of objects, and new paradigms in sharing.
  • Work hand in hand with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and overall ensure that product direction is in tune with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with a number of technology and business counterparts at provider organizations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
  • At least 15+ years of experience driving backend systems for deeply technical products/platforms.
  • Experience building cloud platforms and cloud-based APIs. Deep understanding/ experience in data management, Big Data analytics, and/or cloud technologies is crucial.
  • Experience working with engineering and data Science.
  • Be able to understand the breadth of our product line as well as get technical and be able to drill into details on owned areas. This is a deeply technical PM role
  • Have proven experience defining a product vision and roadmap and managing incremental execution through successful launches.
  • You deal with ambiguity with ease and break down problems to determine a path forward.
  • Thrive in the dynamic environment that comes with being part of an innovative startup from its early days. That means flexibility as well as dealing with ambiguity. Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
  • Be highly data-driven, knowing how to get, understand, and use data to make the best possible decisions.
  • Move quickly and constantly iterate, developing hypotheses from customer conversations, data, and insights, running tests to confirm those hypotheses, and learning and iterating towards a solution that customers didn't realize they wanted but now can't live without.
  • Operate and think at the application layer and deeper in the technology stack. Know whether the limitations of the current backend are reasonable or if we should rebuild to enable new capabilities.
  • Drive execution with a cross-functional team, ensuring everyone is working towards the same goals and impact.

We're looking for brilliant people who share our passion for ground-breaking technology and want to create a lasting future for you and Snowflake.

Are you up for the challenge?
