Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Location: 925 South Euclid Street, Anaheim, CA Primary Responsibilities: * Provide exceptional service to all customers * Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification and copy required documents * Answers phones and schedules specialty appointments as necessary, verifying referrals and authorizations * Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed * Handling a daily average of 100 incoming calls ranging from patients, healthcare facilities, pharmacies, etc. * Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule) * Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc * Responsible for communicating pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assisted * Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow * Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary * Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public * Performs all other related duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma/GED (or higher) * 1+ years of experience working in customer service environment * 1+ years of call center experience * 1+ years of experience with MS Office Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience with medical insurance * 1+ years of experience in a medical office environment * ICD 10 and CPT coding experience * Prior experience with EMR computer applications * Working knowledge of medical terminology * Working knowledge of general office procedures California Residents Only: The hourly range for California residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
