Overview

The AltaMed Health Services team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our staff. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless patient scheduling and registration processes.

About the Role:

  • Responsible for efficiently scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as requested by patients and in accordance with AltaMed's Appointment Scheduling Policy.
  • Routinely monitors the call queue to manage incoming calls and prioritize tasks.
  • Ensures accurate patient demographic and insurance information collection and verification.
  • Proactively communicates with patients regarding appointment confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Collaborates with other departments to address patient inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Maintains high levels of productivity and accuracy while adhering to all AltaMed policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a call center environment preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency a plus.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
