JOB GOAL:To administer and supervise the business affairs of the district in such a way as to provide thebest educational services with the financial resources availablePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Administers the functions of financial accounting, accounts payable, payroll and propertyaccountingPrepares and directs administration of the annual school district budgetPrepares long-term financial projectionsInvests temporarily available cashWorks to maintain effective district-community relations and interprets the financial concerns ofthe district to the communityPrepares and submits a monthly financial statement to the Superintendent and the BoardPrepares financial reports as required by state and federal agencies having jurisdiction overpublic school fundsCompletes or reviews applications for the state and federal fundsCoordinates the reporting of full-time equivalency students by program and schoolHas a major role in the administration of agreements resulting from collecting bargainingAdvises and makes recommendations to the Superintendent on business and financial questionsAssumes responsibility for the employment and training of business office personnelCoordinates with the districts Management Information Services on reports sent to the stateConducts follow-up activities to remedy internal audit report findings of an adverse naturePerforms other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent
