If so, apply today Why Join the Elara Caring mission? * You'll work in a collaborative environment * You'll be rewarded with a unique opportunity to make a difference * Outstanding compensation package * Medical, dental, and vision benefits after 30 days of employment * 401K match and paid time off for full-time staff * COVID-19 Prepared with Personal Protective Equipment and precautions As a Nurse Practitioner, you'll contribute to our success in the following ways: * Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring's board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Hospice team. * Prevents unwanted hospitalizations by meeting patient and family needs in the home. * Prepares and maintains accurate patient records, charts, and documents to support sound medical practice and reimbursement for services provided. * Compliance with applicable laws and regulations with respect to Collaborative Agreements. * Completes accurate billing and coding activities for all patient encounters according to CMS guidelines and initiates reimbursement for medically necessary visits in accordance with applicable law and regulation. * Provides training and continuing education for staff. * Assists in development of clinical practice guidelines/standards in support of quality palliative care. * Adheres to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff and the organization. * Collaborates/Communicates with Medical Director, attending physician, branch leadership and IDG. * Performs other duties/projects as assigned. What is Required? * Masters Degree in Nursing and certification through a national Nurse Practitioner Licensing board. * 3+ years clinical nursing experience * 1+ year post-graduate clinical nursing experience in the hospice and palliative care field. * Prior experience in Family Medicine, Geriatrics and psychiatry preferred. * Current licensure in the state of practice as a Nurse Practitioner and maintain such licensure in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. * Board Certification in Palliative Care Preferred. * Active DEA license. * Able and willing to travel up to 50% as needed to support business and patient needs. You will report to the Branch Director.
