Actalent's client is a full-service civil engineering firm based out of Silver Spring, MD. They have four offices in Silver Spring, Fairfax, Frederick, and Gaithersburg, with Silver Spring being the corporate headquarters.

Their Private Sector Division Manager and the Section Head are currently looking for a mid-level engineer that has experience in Land Development on commercial and private sector projects. They are ready to hire someone now. Ideally they will need experience in Montgomery County and PG County. They need to have experience in Land development, roads, grades of land, and AutoCAD Civil3D, Autodesk - the projects they are looking at are; 1 lot projects, exisiting subdivision projects, pond retrofits. Should have experience with AutoCAD (LDD preferred) being that this is the CADD platform that Actalent's client uses. They are going to top out at around 60K. Please note that they do pay hourly and there will be opportunity for overtime at 1.5x and also performance-based bonuses. We need a minimum of 0-3 years of experience.

We are looking for someone who is independent and can think on their feet.

Specific engineering responsibilities related to pond retrofits - pond outflow & control structures, modifications of riser pipes, valves, weirs, pipes and/or changing the size and elevation of weirs, openings, valves, and other orifices. Stormwater management design for a roadway corridor with Environmentally Sensitive Design. Completed several culvert analysis and design, stream restoration, and hydraulic modeling

Skills & Qualifications:

+ At least 4 years of Land development, storm water management, sediment control and grading experience. Private sector extremely preferred but will take someone with public. Charles county experience would be a HUGE plus.

+ At least 3 years designing with Civil 3D

+ Degree they will accept (preferred, not required): Civil Engineering & Environmental Engineering
