This role is to build and lead the Site-to-Site VPN service necessary for customers to connect to the cloud from their on-premises environment. The service's stability, reliability, and feature richness are critical to ensure the customer workloads run seamlessly on the OCI cloud. Also, the leader will be responsible for building new services to simplify the connectivity model for other use cases and customer scenarios. We’re looking for a Manager of Software Development with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. You should be comfortable with low-level operating systems development, be able to architect broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, and be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and higher-level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities You'll work with customers, your team of engineers, Product Management, and the senior leadership in the Networking organization at OCI to develop product and organizational strategy You'll support engineer growth and build the team to deliver on business-critical problems over time You'll engage with our field teams and support active customers who run their businesses on our services You'll require familiarity with cloud-based application development, experience designing, implementing and maintaining large-scale distributed system Preferred Qualifications Experience building solutions on top of existing cloud providers Good understanding of networking fundamentals and network products offered by various cloud providers Experience in customer engagement or customer experience domain Disclaimer: Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only Hiring Range: from $112,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
