Wage Range: $24.48 to $38.24 per hour

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Interview members seeking auto loans, personal loans, creditcards, and other consumer focused loan products. The Bilingual ConsumerLoan Originator (Spanish) will also be responsible for educating our members onother products that will benefit their financial well-being. Obtain informationconcerning loan needs, earnings, and the individual's financial condition. Importantto understand the additional consumer lending products that the Credit Unionoffers to protect its members. Meet and engage in person and phone with membersto advise on the lending goals, questions, and requirements. Must have theability to communicate fluently with Spanish speaking members to assist themwith their loan needs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
•Must accept loan applications, obtaining credit reports and anyother information pertinent to the loan decision.
•Need to communicate professionally and effectively to providesuperior member service.
•Must follow Credit Union procedures and policies as outlined inall loan department related procedures, as well as loan policy and EmployeeGuide, ensuring all dual control and internal controls are followed withintheir area or responsibility. Must be able to keep up with change.
•Review loans within our loan origination system to ensure loansare made within current loan policy and verify that all information is accurateand complete.
•Responsible for completion of documents and funding for Visa andpersonal loans.
•Review credit application to determine other loans and servicesthe member may qualify for.
•Work recapture opportunities and outbound calling.
•Must have a good understanding of GAP, MRC, and MemberGuard andbe able to effectively communicate these products to our members.
•Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communicationskills, as well as cross-selling skills.
•Must be a self-starter, be self-motivated, and use initiativewhile effectively adapting to change.
•Assist members with modifications, extensions, and/or loanchanges.
•Must be willing to work Saturdays.
•Federal licensing through the NMLS Registry (including abackground check) is required.

•Written Communication - Individual edits work for spelling andgrammar, presents numerical data effectively, and is able to read and interpretwritten information.
•Planning/Organizing - Individual prioritizes and plans workactivities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.
•Quality Control - Individual demonstrates accuracy andthoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
•Dependability - Individual is consistently at work and on time(except for those cases protected by law which are outlined in the EmployeeGuide), follows instructions, responds to Management direction, and solicitsfeedback to improve performance.
•Observes Policies/Procedures - Individual sets an example inobserving (following) Credit Union policy and applicable Standard OperatingProcedures, as well as those in the Employee Guide.
•Image - Individual must display a positive and professionalimage.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Possess a high school diplomaor equivalent.

Two years Credit UnionLending experience or equivalent.

Must be bondable.

NOTE: This positionrequires the ability to read, write, speak and comprehend fluently in bothSpanish and English.

This bilingual positionassists the credit union's Spanish speaking members and provides member servicein Spanish.

Bilingual employees must passa Spanish language test to be eligible for the $200.00 per month differentialon top of the base pay.
