Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant I to join our accounting team. The candidate will prepare general ledger account reconciliations, analyze discrepancies, and assist operational in accounting team.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review daily/monthly general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support the accounting team in the delivery of the operational agenda in the areas of loan applications balancing.
- Participate in the month end close process, including but not limited to variance analysis, processing journal entries, and the preparation and review of reconciliations and certifications of general ledger account balances.
- Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies or out of balance conditions for loan application systems.
- Prepare and review various schedules and reports for the accounting departments deliverables, including variance analysis for the assigned accounts.
- Support the accounting team in the delivery of the operational agenda in loan accounting area.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Excel & Word required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- At least 2 years of general ledger accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong analytical, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
- Professional attitude and demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
- Knowledge PeopleSoft, FIS, and LPS a plus.
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is USD $67,000.00/Yr. - USD $75,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
